Care giving is in my blood. When I was a young man, I took care of my aging grandparents. I used to sit up with my grandfather and listen to stories of prohibition, his time in the military, his teaching career and how life was in the early 1900's and was fascinated with the life and times of days past, I would go to him to get advice. It was a great way to grow up. Eventually, I joined the military and followed in his foot steps, but I always longed to be a caregiver again, so I went back to school to begin my journey as a home care specialist and never looked back.
After several years as a caregiver, I was ready to start a business that would let me grow and help others. More than anything, I wanted to share my passion for caregiving, and watch as my clients were able to do all the activities of day to day life with the assistance of a wonderful caregiver.
Today my clients are recovering from surgeries , strokes, have Alzheimer, dementia etc... men and women who do not want to be held back by their current circumstance, or simply would like someone to be a companion and listen to their wonderful memories of days past, to make dinner a few times a week, give them rides to the market, help with household chores, or simply someone to go to lunch with.
Home health aides don’t provide medical care, although they often must perform tasks too intimate even for a patient’s family members.
